MOTOGP SEPANG TEST: SCHEDULE, RIDERS AND HOW TO FOLLOW

MotoGP will host its first full-fledged pre-season test of 2025 at the Sepang International Circuit outside Kuala Lumpur on 5-7 February.

The series had already organised a shakedown at the same venue last week, but only test riders, rookies and race riders from Yamaha and Honda were allowed to take part in that three-day event.

As such, this week’s test marks an opportunity for the entire field to come together and evaluate their bikes against each other ahead of the start of the 2025 MotoGP campaign next month.

The test will run from 10am-6pm (local time) from Wednesday to Friday, accounting for 24 hours of track time.

Another two days of running is scheduled at Buriram on 12-13 February before the Thai venue opens up the new season on 2 March.

Who will compete in the MotoGP Sepang test?

Unlike the shakedown, the Sepang test will be open to all riders from the five manufacturers. This would see Marc Marquez appearing for the factory Ducati team, reigning champion Jorge Martin joining Aprilia and Pedro Acosta stepping up to KTM.

Honda, which did not run Joan Mir, Luca Marini and Johann Zarco last week despite being allowed to do so, will also be in action with its full line-up.

How to follow the MotoGP Sepang test?

While November’s end-of-season test in Barcelona was streamed live, the Sepang test will not be available to watch on TV or online. The MotoGP production crew is not filming the test.

However, the series will offer a live timing service that will be made available on its website for a certain fee.

Autosport will also be on the ground in Sepang to bring you live updates, reports and reaction straight from the paddock.
