A look at South Korea's automotive gems
South Korea's vehicle manufacturing industry effectively began with the founding of Kia in 1944. But it wasn't until 1970 that the company began producing motorcars, releasing it first model, the Brisa, in 1974. The Hyundai Motor Company was established in 1967, and is today the country's largest car manufacturer. SsangYong, the name of which translates into English as "Double Dragon," can trace its origins back to the early 1950s and is now known as KG Mobility. And Daewoo, also founded in 1967, was once ranked as the seventh largest car exporter and the sixth largest car manufacturer in the world until its collapse in 1999. Between them, these companies have produced some of the most popular premium cars on the planet, throwing in one or two luxury models into the bargain. But can you name these vehicles?
