I’ve lived with immensely thick and curly hair my entire life. I am one of only two people in my family to have curly hair; the other being my uncle who didn’t care too much about his appearance. Needless to say, I didn’t have someone that could teach me how to tame and manage my wild locks.
Through the years I have tried various methods to control my hair. Every product that claimed to control frizz and accentuate my natural hair never lived up to my expectations. My beautiful spirals were always left crunchy, stiff, weighed down, or oily. I’ve even cut all of my hair off at one point so I wouldn’t have to deal with it. When I was ready to give up on my hair, I discovered Wen.
WEN by Chaz, a well-known product in the beauty industry, makes many promises. Chaz (http://www.wen.com/chaz-dean.html), the creator of Wen, claims the cleansing conditioner can replace multiple products. The Wen cleansing conditioner is supposed to replace your shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, detangler, and leave-in conditioner. Wen cleansing conditioner products are Sephora available and can also be ordered directly from the Amazon website.
The product consists of natural ingredients that aid the overall health of hair. It doesn’t contain harsh chemicals like other hair cleansing products tend to have. Wen is designed to restore strength, shine, and moisture to hair without the natural oils. It is also designed to improve hair manageability.
Naturally, I was skeptical. Surely a product that claimed to be good for all hair types couldn’t exist. But I decided to give it a chance. With low expectations, I made my purchase. I followed the recommended routine with a head full of doubt. But upon drying my hair after the first use, I was in shock; Wen held its promises. I now use Wen regularly, and I’ve learned to love my hair.
