WATCH: TERRIFYING FOOTAGE SHOWS HAIR-RAISING MOMENT SPEEDING CAR GOES AIRBORNE BEFORE HORRIFIC HAMILTON CRASH

The teeth-clenching moment a speeding car became airborne before crashing in Hamilton has been caught on dash-cam.

Police say the crash, which took place last month, left one person with serious injuries and three others with minor injuries.

Footage of the crash, shared to a Facebook page, shows the moment a car picks up speed on Cobham Drive as it passes the ute in front of it.

Just seconds later, the car becomes airborne and crashes into a roundabout.

The driver and a passenger of the ute can be heard yelling as they watch the white sedan nose-dive before rolling nine times, and stopping on its roof.

"Wow," one man said, as a woman added "Holy f**k, 111, 111, f**k."

They then pull over and dial emergency services, which can be heard through the speaker.

Police confirmed the one-vehicle crash injured four people.

"Emergency services were notified about 1:30am on 8 March of a single vehicle having rolled at the roundabout at Cobham Drive and Tristram Street, Hamilton Central," a spokesperson told Newshub.

"There were four people in the car, one was seriously injured and the other three had minor injuries."

However, they said further police action is still being considered.

People on Facebook rushed to the comments of the video, shocked at what they had just witnessed.

"This is a clear example of how excessive speed kills," one person said.

"Will they ever learn?" another added.

DailyMail reports one of the injured passengers was a child, however police have told Newshub they can't provide that information.
